"Do you know Millet's painting 'The Gleaners'? In ancient times, during the harvesting of barley, the poor could go to the landowner's field to gather the grains that had fallen on the ground. There was even a law explicitly stating that the harvesting should not be done too thoroughly, leaving some for the poor to glean. And our job is to pick things up from the surface of the Earth, so we call ourselves 'Gleaners'."
