【Fear of Light】Bugs

When I was young, I had no fear of insects whatsoever. I used to caught large spiders with my bare hands, and feed the praying mantises with all kinds of grass hoppers. So eventually I ended up majored in biology.

I used to tell myself: the insects around us won't pose any threats; for instance, large cockroaches aren't venomous and won't bite even us. They won't even be fatal if they fly onto our faces. What is there to fear? I even once saw a classmate scream because a butterfly flew near her face, and I couldn't stop laughing.

However, as I grew older, my perception of insects deteriorated...

They are freaking ugly! What's up with that! Why are these tiny insects so full of energy, constantly running around with an enthusiasm seemingly out of nowhere? And even though a light tap would be enough to kill them, why do they dare to come close to me?

So... I decided to incorporate this indescribable fear into my novel lol
